March 8, 2006--Mark and Cara Buehner will be presenting from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Library
March 9, 2006--Mark and Cara Buehner will be at Ensign Elementary book fair from 6-7 p.m.
March 8, 2006--Chris Crowe will be visiting Landmark High School.
March 9, 2006-- Ron Woods will be speaking at Emmett Junior High and at Carberry Intermediate School, both in Emmett, Idaho.
March 16-17, 2006--Sharlee Glenn and Kristyn Crow will speak at 2:10 on Thursday on
"How to Write When Life Gets in the Way" at the Forum on Children and Literature at UVSC. Also speaking will be Kim Williams Justesen at 2:10 on Friday on Improving Your Fiction Now!. Julie Olson Julie Olson will be speaking on Creating a Picture Book Character. Other presenting include: Kimberley Heuston, Rick Walton, and Randall Wright.
March 20, 2006 -- Rick Walton will be speaking at Brookside Elementary in Springville.
March 21, 2006-- Chris Crowe will be speaking at University of Utah student IRA club.
March 22, 2005--Rick Walton will be speaking to the DCIRA from 4:15-6:10 pm at East Layton Elementary.
March 23, 2006--Becky Hall will be talking to parents and students at the Literacy Evening at Copper Canyon Elementary School (8917 South Copperwood Drive, West Jordan, UT 84088) at 6:30 p.m. She will kick off their Author's Fair called "The Magical Pens" and her talk is titled "Where is the Magic?"
March 23, 2006--Rick Walton will be at Welby Elementary from 6-7:30 p.m.
March 29, 2006--Mark and Cara Beuhner will be presenting at 9:30 at East Sandy Elementary.
April 3-4, 2006--Rick Walton will be visiting Sandy Elementary.
April 4, 2006--Sharlee Glenn will be doing a school visit at Bunderson Elementary in Brigham City.
April 6, 2006--Ken Baker will be visiting Park Elementary in Spanish Fork.
April 7, 2006-- Chris Crowe will be at American Fork Jr. High
April 8, 2006--Rick Walton will be teaching an advanced picture book writing workshop, for those who will have taken his picture book workshop, and for those of you who already understand picture book writing but want to get into a little more depth.
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: the Provo Library, 550 N. University Ave., Young/Card Rm. (3rd Floor)
We'll be discussing special issues in picture books, including What is humor? What should we consider when using it in our writing? What are the tricks to writing verse picture books? Exceptions to the writing rules. And other issues, as well as anything else you want to discuss. Bring your questions. You'll get one manuscript critiqued (bring 20 copies of your manuscript).
The cost for the day is $80.

May, 2006--Kim Williams Justesen will be the featured author for Tanglewood Press at Book Expo America in Washington, D.C.
June 11-17, 2006--Guy Francis, Chris Crowe, Carol Lynch Williams, Rick Walton, Randall Wright, and others will be participating in the BYU Writing and Illustrating for Young Readers workshop.
