November 19, 2005--Carol Williams will be speaking at AML for two hours with Cheri Earl. They'll talk first on strong writing, and follow with a first page critique of the previous session's attendees. The conference will be held at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. In this five-week course, students will learn about strong writing for the children's book market. As well, students will discuss voice, plot, and dialog and how these work in good stories for children of all ages. The class time will be spent reviewing the genres in the field, working toward preparing students own writing for possible publication, and critiquing students manuscripts.
